NOC is the artist and founder of Nocturnal Arts. The philosophy behind Nocturnal Arts is to go beyond ones limits and to venture into new territories. This is what he expresses with his art. It is the perfect symphony between two dimensional canvas paired with a sculpture that makes it something unique. However, let's let him have his own word for it.
Who are you?
Ever since I was a little child ... blah blah, who gives a f***.
Tired of reading boring "abouts"?.
Well here´s the truth about me. I think beyond my mind, I always did. I love fresh designs, aesthetics, interesting geometrics, outstanding materials and drinking moscow mule. I´m full of curiosity, originality and authenticity. I see the world in a way like no one else does. I see fulfillment in creating something that has value and will last forever - I like people with visions and a making the world a better place mindset. And .. I like cars. I mean i love everything about them since i was a child. The design, engineering, speed, aerodynamics, materials, passion for the detail, the great minds behind it & the ability it gives me to let me drive wherever I want to mostly escape d***heads. I was born in austria and have been heavily influenced by european design and culture. Especially i like high end models like the Porsche 911, Lamborghini Huracan STO, Ferrari F40, Koenigsegg, BMW M Models and a lot more. I´m also into motorsports like Formula 1, DTM or Rallye. I don't really give a damn about fame. Therefore I want to stay optically mostly unrecognized. The focus is on my art. I love to work in the studio at night. Turning on good hip hop music and letting my hand run over the canvas. My art is what I am. Different.
Tell us something about your art.
Nocturnal Arts. The word already indicates what is going on. I love to work at night. At this time my brain is sharp as f*** and my creativity has no limit. Everything around me is quiet and I can dive into my own world. My art is a perfect symphony between urban street art, abstract art and automotive art. There was no blueprint when i started with my kind of art. You either follow something, where you think this is the right thing to do. Or you say I´m going to be myself and create a new path and a new blueprint.
I love Hip Hop and the whole culture because it stands for equality and openness towards everyone. By the way, there was once a man who was called Jackson Pollock. Maybe you have heard of him, in any case, he stands for the emotional painting. He has let his emotions run free, emptied his head and let his hand do what it wanted. It is art in its purest form and that has influenced me a lot. I've always had an affinity for well thought out design. Whether it is in architecture, furniture, fashion, sneakers, or objects from everyday life. Good design calms me and is pleasing to my eye. All this combined is my art. What you have seen so far is only the beginning. There are dope things planned for the future, which will be released step by step.
Why did you start?
I started because of my passion for the automobile and art. I wanted to unite the two worlds, because I think there are many facets on both sides that belong together. One day I had the brilliant idea to make two dimensional things look three dimensional by using a sculpture. The mixture of who I am and how I think projected onto my art makes it unique. A symbiosis of abstract art, graffiti art, different materials and the completion through sculptures. What I want is to change not only the car scene but the entire art world. My art is for those people who value real art, can identify themselves with it and want to have something unique for themselves.
